(A group of students at a training course)

BIBLES FOR ALL Frank Kaleb JansenMINISTRIES October 2018 Founder / Chairman 1980 - 2009 News from Asia

The small plane with over 40 passengers takes off from Kathmandu. I am headed to another training for Nepal church workers. The plane lands in Janakpur airport 1 hour later.  Pastor Bijay has been waiting to take me on his bike to the rented rooms where they worship and live. After warm fellowship and dinner I sleep on the floor of the church room inside a mosquito net.  The next morning after breakfast over 20 Pastors and leaders gather for a time of worship and learning. It is a 10x10 room with one window.  Though cramped, we have great time of learning, praying and fellowship with a hanging fan blowing hot air. We have lunch together in an open public restaurant nearby in the town. That evening I slept in a hotel room nearby.  One of the pastors in the town who came the first day invited us to have the second day of our training in his church hall which is bigger. Module 1 of our training course was used here.  We have added 3 more missionaries from this very difficult region in Nepal, so 3 more new churches are being started.
That night, I traveled to Manahari where we had a refresher course the next day.  The pastors began to arrive that morning and we started the sessions with a time of prayer and worship. There were over 30 from the nearby villages and towns.  This group was into module 2 of our course, which focuses on a leaders calling, ministry, Christian character and using the Word of God effectively. That evening we finished and  due to heavy rains and landslides, I had to take a jeep back to Kathmandu.  God is at work.  Let us push forward the mission of reaching the harvest.
Pray for the safety of our missionary families and their ministries. The legal and social concerns over the new anti-conversion law is still unpredictable and suspicious. We can only be praying and learn to act and live prudently. We need a lot of wisdom from above.
Sincerely yours in Christ,  PA Thomas
