News from the field - Nepal October 2019
"The word of God is a human right."
Frank Kaleb Jansen - Founder/Chairman (1980 - 2009)
Thank you for your continued prayers for us in Nepal. Praise the Lord for His enabling grace and provisions thus far.
Our refresher at Chitwan at Parbatipur for missionaries and partners in the first week of September brought together over 20 from East and West Chitwan. It was a refreshing time of fellowship and learning together. Pr. Arjun and his family made all the arrangements. Pr. Abraham partnered with me to take the teaching sessions.
We had a very good time of encouraging sharing, worshiping and learning from the Word with lots of open discussions at Manahari for over 20 pastors from Makwanpur after the Chitwan refresher. Pr. Gahiram and his family helped with the arrangements and Pr. Abraham shared the teaching. We had some new missionaries joining which means new churches. Praise the Lord.
Then I had a a very meaningful teaching session with a group of Pastors in Trishuli for two days.
The last of our refreshers this year was held at Barabise for missionaries and pastors from Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavre and Sindhupalchok. Those from Dholka could not come due to bad roads. We were 14 and had a very encouraging time of learning for two days in first week of October. I was given a ride by one of our pastors from Lalitpur to and from (3 hours each) instead of a crowded bus journey for over 5 hrs. God is gracious!
So our refresher run for this year is over and we are looking forward to our annual conference in Chitwan, October 22-24. Pray for travel from all over Nepal, the arrangements and security. We have unusual rains this time so need to pray for good weather also for travel safety. We will be commissioning many more new missionaries in this conference. Pray that they will go out with a fresh anointing and passion.
We depend a lot on your prayers.
In Christ and His mission, PA Thomas
