WHO WE ARE

Our Story

In a prophetic meeting in January of 2018, Joshua Marcengill, our founder, had an encounter where he heard the Lord tell him to give away what He had given to Josh. Right away Josh knew what God was talking about as if those few words he heard were a deep well. God was talking about the encounters with Him that had taken Josh from being an on-the-fence-Atheist into being a full-on-believer that God was actually real and not just a religion. Josh was saved through encounters with Jesus Christ, Father God and the Holy Spirit. One year he was even taken through 365 encounters on each day of the year that followed and revealed the scriptures he read in a daily scripture reading relationally to him. It was a complete immersion and baptism into the living word of God. Thankfully God brought many Christian leaders and mentors who also helped to bring wisdom and counsel along the way during this formative time for Josh's spiritual life. However, time and again the encounters led the way into a lifestyle of consistent encounters with heaven, with Jesus, with Father God and with the Holy Spirit. If you want to know more about Joshua's spiritual journey it was the same year that God spoke to Josh to give away this gift of abundant encounters, that Josh began and finished writing a book called Encounters, Pressing Into Your Abundant Heavenly Supply that is available from Amazon as well as many subscription-based services.

At the 2019 book release of his book Encounters, Josh also announced a podcast that he and his wife Mary were going to commit to doing that would help facilitate heavenly encounters for listeners. They didn’t want to just teach about encounters, because so many already were, but what they wanted was to help people to have more encounters. Josh always says, “God is not short on encounters my friends” and we believe this ministry is for existing Christians from every denomination.

Mary and Josh met in 2011, got married 2012 and began their journey together in ministry with a missions organization and an inner healing ministry. Both attended the Bethel Atlanta School of Supernatural Ministry for several years, Josh worked as a Business Manager for Bethel Atlanta and Mary was a teacher on the second year staff for the ministry school. Mary is a continuous contributor and confidant into the AEI ministry and we also work with friends and multiple organizations including Charisma Media, Stephen K. DeSilva Ministries, Bethel Leaders Network and more. Josh has a Masters in International Business Administration (MIBA) from Alliant International University in San Diego, California and both Mary and Josh are serving as revivalists at Blue Jean Services of Dallas County, Inc. which is both a church and a nonprofit organization to help bring social, environmental and economic revival to Selma Alabama.

Our hope at AEI is that Christians would have resources that could help them get free from hangups or walls that religion, hurts, hang-ups, and bad habits often trap us in so that we can all experience the inheritance that Jesus Christ paid for. Our cause is that the existing Body of Christ would have more encounters so that the economies of heaven would be released into this fallen world to overwhelm the deficits of sin, death and the grave. Our plan and mission are to continually create tools and services that make resources available that help believers to have abundant encounters.

OUR CORE VALUES

Most of these are adapted from the Bethel Leaders Network Core Values.

GOD IS GOOD

God is generous. As we remember and retell what He has done in testimonies, He’s able and eager to do it again. (John 3:16; Revelation 12:11, 19:10; Joshua 4:1-9)

SALVATION CREATES IDENTITY

We are new creations, not merely “sinners saved by grace,” but saints who have been given His righteousness. (2 Cor. 5:17; 2 Cor. 5:21; Rom. 1:17; Rom. 3:28; Rom. 8:29-30)

AE Round Logo.png

GENEROUS LIKE MY FATHER

God is extravagantly generous and our generosity is a response and reflection of Him. He is a good Father who gives good gifts to His children.
(James 1:17; Ps 103:1-5; John 3:16)

AE Round Logo.png

FOCUSED ON HIS PRESENCE

God delights in us and has always desired to be with us. We focus on His presence because we have discovered He is focused on us.
(Eph. 1:4-5; Zeph. 3:17; John 6:44; Jer. 31:3; Ps. 65:4)

SUPERNATURAL MINISTRY

Faith requires us to step beyond fear and take risks while humbly honoring the environment in which we are ministering.
(Matt 9:28-29; Matt 17:2; Math 14:24-33; Acts 3:1-10; Heb 11:1; James 2:14-18)

CREATING HEALTHY FAMILIES

We think like healthy family members by doing what’s best for the whole environment and submitting to one another and by not being selfish. (Eph. 5:21; Gal. 5:13; Phil. 2:3; Rom. 12:9-21)

HIS KINGDOM IS ADVANCING

We believe and live the prayer, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven.” Therefore, we partner with the King in natural and supernatural ways to create mercy, justice, and righteousness until He comes.
(Matt. 6:9-10; Matt. 10:42; Matt. 25:40; Matt. 10:7-8; John 14:12)

FREE AND RESPONSIBLE

Freedom and responsibility cannot be separated. We experience freedom when we are able to control ourselves. So we cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He produces the fruit of self-control in us. (Gal. 5:16-25; Rom. 8:12-13; 2 Pet. 1:5-9)

HOPE IN A
GLORIOUS BRIDE

We are not looking to escape the world but to see Christ’s victory manifested in individuals and nations even in the face of resistance and conflict.
(Luke 10:2-3; Matt. 28:18-19; Phil. 3:12-14; Heb. 12:1-3; Rev. 11:15)

GODS WORD TRANSFORMS

We encounter God in the Word, and faith is released into our lives. As we study Scripture, it empowers us who God is, who we are and how He wants us to live. (Ps. 119:105; Matt. 7:24-28; John 8:31-32; John 17:17; Rom. 10:17; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:1-13; 1 Thess. 2:13; Col. 3:15-17)

HONOR AFFIRMS
VALUE

Honor recognizes and affirms how valuable and powerful other people are because they are made in His image and He died to restore them to relationship. We are significant. (Gen. 1:26; Eph. 4:22-24; Rom. 12:10)

GOD IS STILL
SPEAKING

Scripture calls us to earnestly desire the gift of prophecy, which is speaking on God’s behalf to strengthen, encourage and comfort people. So, we desire to say what the Father is saying in order to grow their identity and call out the purposes and treasure He has placed in them. (I Tim. 4:14-16; I Cor. 14:1-4, 24-25; Acts 13:1-3; Eph. 2:10; 1 John 4:17)

RESPONSIVE TO
GRACE

We experience both the astounding, undeserved love God has for us and His ongoing power to transform us. His transforming love and power are inseparable from one another. (John 3:16-17; Eph. 1:4-5; Rom. 5:6-11; Heb. 1:1-3)
