News from the field

From North India - This year I traveled all the way to Arunachal Pradesh in the extreme eastern tip of India for some meetings and baptisms; after that I went to Kerala for the funeral of my brother-in-law Rev. Kunjukutty Athialy who founded the first church in Nepal 60 years back. Then I went to Pune to speak in the annual missions conference of the Union Biblical Seminary. Then I went to Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir to attend the silver jubilee celebrations of my son Santosh’s ministry. Now I am visiting our North East center at Binnaguri near the Bhutan border for the annual conference of our Eastern region besides that I continue to visit our branch churches to encourage our missionaries. I want to assure you, by your prayers, still I am a young man of 81 and going to cross 82 in a few months.

All our missionaries are working well in their fields. Thousands of believers have been added to our various churches through their ministry. Our ICT (Institute of Community Transformation) trainees baptized 17 new believers. According to our missionaries’ reports in the last three months they visited 14430 houses and visited 58876 people. Out of them 1520 people accepted Jesus into their lives and 156 of them took water baptism. Thus the total number of baptism this year has reached 565. We praise God for your faithful prayers and supports.  Here are a few field reports:

State of BIHAR - Pastor Hanok visited a new village to share gospel. Within a few minutes 15-20 persons gathered there and heard the gospel with great attention.  At the end, 7 of them accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. The villagers destroyed the crop of one of the new believers and now they are planning to expel him out of the village.

State of MAHARASHTRA - Pastor Sanjay shared that a 22 year old girl, Shakti, was brought to them for prayer. She was suffering from shivering of the whole body and used to faint several times a day. Her parents took her to famous doctors but were not helped. Her scanning report showed she has no disease.  At last her parents brought her to the church. The church continually prayed for her and the Lord freed her from the evil spirit.

State of ORISSA - Pastor Tandi reported that the villagers were surprised to see the sudden changes happened in the life of Mr. Abri Rambagh when he came to the Lord. He was a heavy drunkard, but the love of Jesus has changed his life. The Lord also has healed and delivered those who came for prayer. Three new people are waiting for baptism.

For Praise and Prayer

 - Yaqoob in Pakistan says: “The widows and children are grateful to all of Bibles for All supporters for your generous support in these hard times and helping the staff share the love and words of Jesus among the unreached people here in our area.”

 - Fred in south India shares: “By God’s grace, it has been another year of fruitful ministry.” Next month we will share more details of the progress that has been made.

Thank you, dear co-workers.  Know that your prayers and gifts are advancing the Kingdom of our God and bringing the gospel to many.                             Sincerely,

                                                                                                Bob and Nina Binkley

P.S. We have enclosed a family picture from the holidays.

John 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
